***NOTE: THIS EDIT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED AND WILL NOT BE APPLIED TO SUBMITTED RECORDS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. If O0250B is active and contains a valid date (is not equal to [-,^]), then it should contain a date that is in the appropriate date range, as defined below. Determination of the appropriate date range depends upon the target date for the assessment. The target date is defined as follows: a) If A0310F is equal to [01], then the target date is equal to A1600 (entry date). b) If A0310F is equal to [10,11,12], then the target date is equal to A2000 (discharge date). c) If A0310F is equal to [99], then the target date is equal to A2300 (assessment reference date). Given the target date, the following rules apply: a) If the target date falls within an ongoing influenza season, then the value of O0250B should be greater than or equal to the starting date of the current influenza season and less than or equal to the target date. b) If the target date falls outside of an ongoing influenza season, then the edit described above in (a) will be suspended and no warning will be issued based upon the value of O0250B. Note that the dates that define the "current influenza season" will be defined each year by CMS and will be published in updates to the MDS user's manual. Note also that violation of the consistency rule described in this edit will result in a warning. |
