RECORD SUBMISSION TIMING RULES The following rules specify the maximum number of days which should elapse between each date listed and the submission date. There are different rules for new records (where A0050 (formerly X0100)=[1]) and for modifications and inactivations (where A0050 (formerly X0100)=[2,3]). RULES FOR NEW RECORDS (WHERE A0050=[1]): The following rules apply to new records, where A0050=[1]. a) If A0310F is equal to [01] (entry record), then submission date - A1600 (entry date) should be less than or equal to 14 days. b) If A0310F is equal to [12] (death in facility record), then submission date - A2000 (discharge date) should be less than or equal to 14 days. c) If A0310F is equal to [10,11,99] and A0310A is equal to [01,03,04,05] (comprehensive assessment), then submission date - V0200C2 (care plan completion date) should be less than or equal to 14 days. d) If A0310F is equal to [10,11,99] and A0310A is equal to [02,06,99] (all other types of assessment), then submission date - Z0500B (assessment completion date) should be less than or equal to 14 days. RULES FOR MODIFICATIONS/INACTIVATIONS (WHERE A0050=[2,3]): e) If A0050 is equal to [2,3] (modification or inactivation record), then submission date - X1100E (attestation date) should be less than or equal to 14 days. |
